Lead and oversee the preparation, review, and timely submission of complex federal, state, and local tax returns, extensions, and declarations
Develop and execute comprehensive tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and align with business goals
Ensure compliance with evolving tax regulations and proactively adjust internal processes as necessary
Conduct technical research and present findings to internal stakeholders, supporting sound decision-making
Translate complex data from a range of sources into client-ready insights and deliverables
Engage with clients to maximize tax benefits and strategic planning and manage client relationships.
Communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients
Develop and execute a business development plan which includes development of additional services from existing clients, development of new clients, networks or new services
Ensure team (or self) meets budgets on client projects or proactively informs partners of issues in doing so and potential for increased fees
Manage a team of tax professionals, fostering their development, and collaborating across departments to maintain high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance in all tax-related operations
Assist the department leadership in the strategic development of the department
